New documentary tracks history of Nigeria’s tech startup ecosystem

A new documentary has been released tracking the development and history of the Nigerian tech startup ecosystem, featuring interviews with key stakeholders and documenting the progress made in the last 15 years.

The documentary has been released by Peace Itimi, creator and host of Founders Connect, a show that spotlights the best of African innovation via conversations with founders and senior operators.

Titled “Innovating Africa: The Rise of Tech in Nigeria”, the documentary covers the state of the tech industry 15 years ago, why the biggest tech companies were founded, and the most pivotal moments and policies that have defined tech in Nigeria. 

It features key players such as Oo Nwoye, Kola Aina, Odun Eweniyi, Adia Sowho, Tomie Davies, Jason Njoku, and more. You can watch it here.
