Village Capital programme to support African startup ecosystem builders

0

Village Capital and African Management Institute have opened applications for a management training programme for the next generation of talent within entrepreneur support organisations (ESOs) in Africa.

The goal of the programme, which is being run with with support from the Dutch Good Growth Fund, is to strengthen mid-level talent within ESOs, equipping the next generation of entrepreneurial ecosystem leaders with the skills they need to drive Africa’s startups forward.

Each ESO will nominate two mid-level managers to attend the programme, which includes three Learning Labs – one in person and two virtual. The programme will combine technical and management development, helping participants do things like understanding their ecosystem, target entrepreneurs, plan and execute programmes, and develop a culture of performance.

In addition to the above, teams will learn more about the African entrepreneur support sector, and the “why” of entrepreneur support at a macro, ecosystem, organisational, and personal level.

Applications are open here until January 30, 2020.
