Applications have opened for the AgriLab programme, which aims to help early-stage agri-tech startups grow through funding, mentorship and trip to Ireland.

Run as a partnership between the Embassy of Ireland in Nigeria and Abuja-based tech incubator Ventures Platform, AgriLab has been launched in a bod to scale agri-tech startups and help them meet the needs of Nigeria’s fast-growing population.

Interested parties will take part in a three-day ideation workshop and bootcamp, after which some will be selected into the incubation programme, which will give them access to workshops, mentorship and office spaces. Participants will also receive US$2,000 in seed capital.

The winning team will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Ireland, which is a world leader in the agri-tech space, to meet and network with potential business partners and state agencies.

Applications are open here until December 18.
