Team registration has opened for the fourth edition of the Global Management Challenge (GMC) in Kenya, a management simulation competition that gives participants experience in running a business.

The GMC first started in Portugal in 1980, and has since expanded worldwide to more than 30 countries.

The winning team from Kenya will earns the right to compete at the international final in Dubai in April 2018, after previous finals in Doha, Macau and Prague. The last two winning teams have come from Kenyatta University, prevailing over teams from the corporate and private sectors.

The competition is open to anyone from any background, including students, professionals and employees in companies. Participants must form teams of three to five people and register their team online.

Teams are presented with a business scenario of a manufacturing company and have to analyse its history, before strategising on the company’s future. They compete online over a few rounds, before the final eight teams compete in a one-day national final.
