Applications will open on March 24 for the second edition of the Innovations Against Poverty (IAP) Fund, which offers financial support to companies based in Ethiopia, Uganda, Zambia and Cambodia.

The IAP Fund supports companies engaged in the development and rollout of business models that engage low-income groups and deliver a commercial return.

Financial support of between EUR50,000 (US$53,000) and EUR200,000 (US$213,000) is on offer, while companies will also be offered advisory support to develop and rollout their solutions.

This support will come from international and local specialists in inclusive business development, finance, and innovation, while support will also be available from local associated consultants and through the online IBA platform.

The IAP Fund is seeking entrepreneurs that aim to become drivers of change in their own markets, by taking their innovative ideas to scale and having a wide ecosystem impact. It has a special focus on entrepreneurs operating in the sectors of agriculture and food, energy, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and ICT.
