Lusaka-based innovation hub BongoHive has opened applications for its Discover accelerator programme, which helps entrepreneurs turn their ideas into startups.
BongoHive describes the Discover programme as an intense three-week full-time bootcamp that provides accepted applicants with the basic skills to turn a business idea into a launched startup.
Entrepreneurs will learn how to refine and prototype their idea while getting a set of business fundamentals essential to a new enterprise. The programme works on the principle of evidence-based entrepreneurship.
Participants will learn how to evolve their ideas through interacting with your users, create a compelling unique value proposition, generate financial forecasts and keep track of budget.
Over the course of the programme they will create and test a prototype of their product or service, and learn how to pitch to investors, customers and partners. The Discover programme is open to anyone with any idea as long as the idea can be turned into a scalable business.
