Asoriba launched in Ghana to disrupt church management

Much-lauded Ghanaian tech startup Asoriba has officially launched its church management software and social mobile app, offering a one-stop solution for church leaders, administrators and members that enhances efficiency in church administration and management.

Formed at the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) in Accra, Asoriba allows church leaders to send daily devotions or prayer points via mobile.

Events can be streamed live via the app, and the Asoriba platform also has a donation functionality that enables members to donate funds to their church at any time using online payment platforms.

The management software includes a member database, attendance monitoring tools, financial management features, event creation and sharing tools, branch integration and reporting systems, and group and leadership management functionalities.

“Our product is designed to enable effective church administration for pastors and church leaders while building an awesome Christian community via its social mobile app with donation features,” said Asoriba co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Nana Opoku Ware Ofori Agyeman-Prempeh.

Asoriba has attracted plenty of attention in the year preceding its official launch, winning the Ghanaian and pan-African versions of the Seedstars World competition, and taking part in the inaugural Barclays Accelerator programme in Africa, held in Cape Town in the first half of last year.

Co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) Patrick Ohemeng Tutu said it was about time churches empowered themselves using technology in order to keep track of and connect with members.

“By using Asoriba’s  technology, it will be very easy to manage and feed your members with God’s word while growing the church, which is the core mandate of every church leader. We must win more souls and feed the flock,” he said.
