GE relaunches entrepreneurship programme in Lagos

General Electric (GE) has relaunched its Garage entrepreneurship training programme in Lagos, offering startups access to advanced hardware and mentorship.

The GE Lagos Garage – will run for six weeks from November 14, with startups able to apply until November 1.

GE created the Garages programme in 2012 in the United States (US), taking it global and to Lagos in 2014. The company said the 2016 edition will is an expanded offering dedicated to accelerating the impact of Nigeria’s most promising entrepreneurs.

“Working with a variety of world-class instructors, investors, technical experts and partners, participants will build a culture of collaboration and innovation and bring their wildest ideas to life,” GE said.

Participants will interact with current manufacturing technologies such as 3D printers and laser cutters, enabling innovation through rapid prototyping. Entrepreneurs will also have access to advanced hardware and a mentorship network.
