The West African Gaming Expo (WAGE) is to return to Lagos, Nigeria, for the third year running, under the theme “Live Learn Play Africa”.
Disrupt Africa reported in 2014 the first ever WAGE brought together African and international game makers; and was repeated in 2015. The annual conference aims to showcase African arts and culture, while also exhibiting international developments in the gaming market.
The event again returns to Lagos, and will be held on November 9.
This year’s event take the theme of “Live Learn Play Africa”; and will feature sessions covering topics such as employment in gaming and technology; game development for beginners; women in gaming; and raising funds for your SME [small and medium enterprise].
The expo will see a number of coding sessions and guest presentations take place, as well as an exhibition for entrepreneurs and startups active in the gaming space. This year’s exhibition also looks to showcase big data startups.
