The Gauteng-based Innovation Hub has opened applications for this year’s GAP Innovation Competitions, offering startups in four categories access to more than ZAR3 million (US$250,000) in funding and incubation services.

The GAP competitions also ran last year, with the programme open to Gauteng-based researchers and entrepreneurs in the ICT, Green, Medical, and Biotech sectors.

Successful applicants can access more than ZAR3 million (US$190,000) in seed funding and incubation services from the Innovation Hub. Applications close on June 2.

GAP is in line with Gauteng’s Innovation Strategy, with the awards honouring innovators, researchers and entrepreneurs for exemplary work in a number of sectors.
