The African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCA) will hold its twelfth annual conference in London, United Kingdom (UK) in April, bringing together stakeholders to discuss the year’s most pertinent issues and opportunities in Africa.

The conference, which takes place at the Savoy on April 27-29, will run with the key agenda topics of “Championing Private Investment in Africa”, “Perspectives from Veteran Investors in Emerging Markets”, “The Right Way to Measure Risk in Africa”, and “Trailblazers in African Private Equity”.

“From humble beginnings starting in 2003 in Cameroon, AVCA has held conferences in Morocco, Kenya, Senegal, Botswana, Egypt, Ghana, South Africa and most recently Nigeria, and has grown attracting over 500 delegates from over 30 countries globally,” AVCA said.

The association is a pan-African industry body which promotes and enables private investment in Africa. It looks to play an important role as a champion and effective change agent for the industry, educating, equipping and connecting members and stakeholders with independent industry research, best practice training programmes and exceptional networking opportunities.

“With a global and growing member base, AVCA members span private equity and venture capital firms, institutional investors, foundations and endowments, pension funds, international development finance institutions, professional service firms, academia, and other associations,” AVCA said.

“This diverse membership is united by a common purpose: to be part of the Africa growth story.”
