Kenyan startups and innovative ICT companies have been invited to showcase their products at the National ICT Innovation Forum and Expo, which begins on March 3.

The event, which will take place at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, will bring together government and private sector players including investors, with startups invited to register to showcase.

“What a golden opportunity to raise awareness of your products as you network with top key stakeholders in the industry!” said the ICT Authority of Kenya (ICTA), which is organising the event in conjunction with the MInistry of ICT.

“The event will engage stakeholders in exploring the needs of the innovation ecosystem and come up with ways to address barriers in the market.”

The expo will run alongside an ICT Innovation Forum.

“This is the first event of its kind aimed at bringing the top echelons of decisions makers in the innovation ecosystem. This include, solution providers/innovators, academia and research institutions, government, bilateral organizations, venture capitalists, incubation labs, and ICT consumers,” ICTA said.

Speakers will include Fred Matiang’i, cabinet secretary at the Ministry of ICT, and Victor Kyalo, acting chief executive officer (CEO) of ICTA.
