Botswana Innovation Hub (BIH) Cyber City Kgotla is to host ICT-related intellectual property (IP) training for entrepreneurs and techies, with the first workshop to take place tomorrow, February 5.

The event invites techies, developers, designers and entrepreneurs to gain an in-depth knowledge of the foundations of intellectual property for ICT, as well as practical assistance in how to register IP rights in Botswana.

“Intellectual property is one asset that’s important in defining how you set yourself apart from competitors innovatively,” said BIH.

The workshop will be lead by the BIH National IP and Technology Transfer Office – a national IP institution set up by BIH last year -; while the Registrar of Companies and IP Office will lead a practical session on the registration process of IP rights in Botswana.

The event will take place tomorrow, February 5, from 2.30pm at BIH.  Free tickets are available online.
