Design4T has launched South Africa’s first crowdfunding platform for customised T-Shirts, allowing groups, organisations or individuals to create and sell custom apparel with no upfront costs.
Design4T, which also enables local governments and non-profits to raise funds, allows users to design a T-Shirt using a custom building tool, create a campaign page, set a sales goal, and raise money through crowdfunding.
The platform handles shipping and fulfillment, with T-Shirts becoming cheaper with each sale. Use of the platform is free, with Design4T only charging a fee for successful campaigns.
“We’re extremely excited to introduce this new platform to South Africa,” said Design4T co-founder and director Claus Lauter.
“Design4T.com is unique in that it gives people a quick, easy and no-cost way to start earning money for a special cause or idea by creating and selling T-Shirts online. The cool thing about this model is that there is no risk for the seller and buyer.”
