JoziHub launches startup business skills development programme

Johannesburg incubator JoziHub is launching an initiative assisting young entrepreneurs and startups within its community with a series of business-focused lectures, talks and workshops.

The aim of the programme – which starts this month and runs until March next year – is to help startups within the JoziHub ecosystem gain skills that significantly contribute to the development and sustainability of their businesses.

Lectures, talks and workshops will draw on the insight and knowledge of a wide range of industry professionals and academics.

“One of our key focus areas at JoziHub is providing support to the resident startups that have made their base here, and the JoziHub Business Skills Development Programme is a natural next step in that,” said Sam Manclark of JoziHub.

“Being a brilliant tech or social business innovator doesn’t always mean having the business skills to create a sustainable business. Our programme is a way of bridging that gap, within a space that understands the environment that our startups are aiming to work in.”

Sessions this month focus on venture capital and IP for startups, profit and cashflow, and brand design, and will take place weekly.
