Founded in 2017, <\/span>Ostafandy<\/span><\/a> allows homeowners and construction professionals to estimate and finish building projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs Africa\u2019s population explodes, an estimated 150 million homes need to be finished within the next five years, more than two times the number that exist today,\u201d co-founder Mohamad Fouad told Disrupt Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ostafandy aims to reinvent the home finishing industry with a scalable and automated business operating system. The startup for now only operates in Egypt, but plans to expand to Senegal, Kenya and Nigeria, as well as Saudi Arabia.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur business model is very easy. More quotes mean more money. Our service providers use our quotation app to serve their own customers, not only ours. So we can also get insights and analytics from transactions,\u201d said Fouad.<\/span><\/p>\n
