Nigerian startup Sidebrief, which helps African companies build across borders by streamlining legals, incorporation, company admin, banking and regulation through their APIs, has so far helped over 4,000 African entrepreneurs launch their businesses or manage compliance.<\/b><\/p>\n

Launched in late-2021, <\/span>Sidebrief<\/span><\/a> provides simple digital infrastructure for entrepreneurs\u00a0to start their business from anywhere.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe simplify the process of starting, managing and scaling a business across borders, with our one-stop solution for\u00a0business\u00a0registration, banking and regulatory compliance,\u201d CEO Eunice Olopade told Disrupt Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cStatistics indicates that African entrepreneurs face several hurdles when it comes to starting a business. Time which would have been spent on accelerating and growing the business is spent on paperwork and bureaucratic processes. Sidebrief provides a simple platform, transparent fees, and quick go-to-market for entrepreneurs to launch their business across any market.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The response has been very positive, and indeed Sidebrief is already profitable.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have over 4,000 entrepreneurs\u00a0use our platform to launch their business or manage regulatory compliance,\u201d Olopade said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are currently\u00a0operating primarily in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa,\u00a0and\u00a0have facilitated cross-border expansions\u00a0in\u00a0over\u00a017 countries across\u00a0the continent. In terms of expansion, we are currently registered in a few markets, however, we intend full-scale local operations in a few months from now.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

That process will be partly funded by investments secured by the startup over the last few months from <\/span>Baobab Network<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Techstars<\/span><\/a>, after Sidebrief participated in their accelerator programmes. The startup operates a subscription model for its product offerings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
