Applications are open for the Innohub Accelerator Programme, which is designed to promote innovative entrepreneurship in Sub-Saharan Africa and has launched initially in Ghana.
Innohub, for which applications are open until June 8, is looking for entrepreneurs with innovative high growth and high impact startups that can be refined and brought to market through the accelerator programme.
Selected startups will be supported with business development services, mentoring, training and pre-seed investment of US$10,000 funding in cash and services, in exchange for 15 per cent equity in the business.
The inaugural Innohub programme will be located in Accra, with technical and practical on-site and off-site sessions.
“We give more than money. The most important thing we do is work with startups on their ideas.
Our support, mentorship and training helps early stage ventures to clearly define their business model, survive the infamous valley of death and become investment ready,” Innohub said.
“At Innohub, our goal is to get you through the first phase, to the point where you have built something credible enough to raise money on a larger scale. Then we can introduce you to later stage investors – or occasionally even acquirers.”
The six-month programme, which will admit a cohort of 10 startups, culminates in a public pitch event.
