The International Network for Small and Medium Enterprises (INSME) Annual Meeting and Forum, which is taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on May 26-28, will advance local enterprise development by allowing South African startups to learn from leading global companies, according the organisers.
Disrupt Africa reported last month the event, being held on the African continent for the first time, would be held concurrently with the local 2015 Forging Enterprise Conference, in collaboration with the likes of Osiba Management, Economic Development Partnership, the Department of Small Business Development, Silicon Cape and Africa.com.
The organisers said MCI South Africa said local SMEs will have the opportunity to access a wealth of international knowledge and expertise, while also engaging with industry leaders from around the world.
“This will be a unique opportunity for South Africans to learn from some of the leading practices globally and for international practitioners to gain exposure to and learn from South African and African practices,” said MCI South Africa managing director Rashid Toefy.
“This unique event which will boast a small business exhibition component will showcase the latest trends and developments in enterprise development in South Africa and provide a platform for local enterprises to connect and engage with their international counterparts and to forge new business relationships across borders.”
Toefy said MCI was excited to be the event partner for both conferences, saying they speak directly to the company’s core mandate of bringing people together through innovative meetings, events, and conferences.
