Entrepreneurs’ Organisation to launch Johannesburg accelerator

The Johannesburg chapter of the global Entrepreneurs’ Organisation is launching an accelerator programme, designed to assist businesses with at least ZAR2 million (US$160,000) in turnover grow that amount to ZAR10 million (US$810,000).

The Entrepreneurs’ Organisation is a global business network of more than 10,000 entrepreneurs in 144 chapters and 46 countries, including South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana.

It aims to educate, transform, inspire and offer resources in the form of events, leadership-development programmes, an online entrepreneur forum, executive education opportunities, and its accelerator, which is operating in 20 regions globally but coming to Africa for the first time with its launch in Johannesburg.

“Designed to take businesses with a turnover of at least ZAR2 million to the next level of success with an injection of mentoring, education and networking: the accelerator programme has been hotly tipped as the catalyst to catapult your first stage business to the next level,” the Entrepreneur’s Organisation said.

The key mission of the programme mission is to empower first stage member entrepreneurs with the tools needed to grow their businesses. The programme consists of structured educational content focused on the core areas of first-stage businesses, while allowing participants to learn from and connect with a global network of entrepreneurs.

A maximum of 30 candidates that meet the criteria will be eligible for the programme, which will cost ZAR22,500 (US$1,800) per participant. Interested parties should apply online, while one place is being given away as a prize.
