Hypercube to host Entrepreneurship Day

Zimbabwe’s Hypercube hub is to host an entrepreneurship day tomorrow, February 17, with visiting American entrepreneurs to lead a day of workshops, discussion and mentoring for local entrepreneurs.

The morning will be divided into two sessions, with a number of workshops for participants to choose between.  The afternoon features a panel discussion, and a networking session.

Eight US entrepreneurs selected by the US-based Meridian International Center will participate in the day, leading the workshops and discussions.

“We hope the entrepreneurship day gives Zimbabwean entrepreneurs an opportunity to interact, learn and engage with these US leading entrepreneurs,” Hypercube said.

During the first morning session, entrepreneurs can attend either a workshop on “getting your startup ready for impact investment” or “looking beyond borders to grow your business: think global, act local”; while the second morning session offers either the “considerations when building your startup” workshop or a discussion on “developing innovation out of necessity”.

The entrepreneurship day builds on the U.S. Department of State’s 2014 professional fellows programme for Zambia and Zimbabwe, which saw two cohorts of 12 business leaders attend five-week fellowships with businesses in the US.
