Kenya-based MPost, a digital addressing startup that transforms mobile numbers into virtual addresses and has operations in Kenya, Rwanda, and Burundi, has announced the relocation of its headquarters from Nairobi, Kenya, to Kigali, Rwanda.
Launched in 2016, MPost is a platform that enables the conversion of mobile numbers into official virtual addresses, which allows notifications to be sent to clients whenever they get mail through their postal addresses.
The startup, which raised Series A funding in 2019, has established operations across East Africa, but has now chosen to relocate its headquarters to Kigali, and to Norrsken House in particular. It attributed the move to “the favourable business environment that Rwanda offers to tech startups”.
“We are excited about the opportunities that this strategic move brings, and we are honoured to be hosted at Norrsken,” said Twahir Mohamed, founder of MPost. “This decision serves as our launchpad into Africa, and we look forward to contributing to Kigali’s thriving business community while leveraging the support and resources available at Norrsken to propel MPost to new heights.”
