Kenya’s Hello Tractor, which promotes tractor co-sharing throughout Africa, has won the fifth edition of the CATAPULT: Inclusion Africa programme.

Developed by the Luxembourg House of Financial Technologies (LHoFT), a public/private national fintech platform, and sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign & European Affairs – Directorate for Development and Humanitarian Affairs, the CATAPULT: Inclusion Africa programme targets companies focusing on financial inclusion in Africa, aiming to build bridges with Luxembourg’s microfinance and broader finance industry while highlighting their initiatives in alignment with the sustainability goals of Luxembourg’s finance center.

Disrupt Africa reported last month 15 African fintech firms have been selected from over 400 applications to participate in the fifth edition of the programme, with these startups then travelling to Luxembourg to take part. It concluded with a pitch event, where the programme participants each had to deliver a three-minute pitch followed by a two-minute question and answer session with the jury. Hello Tractor emerged the winner,

“Out of an incredibly capable field, it is an honour to win this prestigious award. The combination of peer-to-peer learning through the Catapult cohort, world class mentors and guest speakers, has equipped Hello Tractor with a newfound view,” said Jamie Goode, CCO of Hello Tractor.
