The LaunchLab incubator at Stellenbosch University has opened applications for its Knowledge Acceleration Programme (KAP), which will offer participants the chance to win ZAR15,000 (US$1,000) in seed funding for their business.

Applications are open here for the programme, which starts on November 8 and will run for 14 weeks. It will involve attending two evening sessions each week, plus mentoring as required.

The Knowledge Acceleration Programme is an action-learning entrepreneurship development programme, designed to develop the practicing and aspiring entrepreneur’s business planning and management skills.

It is limited to 20 participants, with the content provided by the Centre of Entrepreneurship of Regent University in Virginia, United States (US). The programme will be facilitated by experienced coaches and mentors, while entrepreneurs will learn how to better plan and manage key aspects of their businesses to enable better structure and growth.

LaunchLab is looking for aspiring and practicing entrepreneurs, business managers or key staff who want to grow their businesses or a division within a business to apply for the programme.

Last semester’s winner was FG Adriaanse, a Stellenbosch University masters student, who won the ZAR15,000 seed funding for his business ADAGIN Technologies, a picking harness that assists farm workers in the table grape industry when harvesting.
